Leslie was raised in far Northeast Denver and graduated from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College. Following graduation, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies as a first-generation student at Colorado State University! During her time at CSU she worked at and learned about the ins and outs of the Office of Financial Aid. Her passion for working with students derives from the hard work her immigrant parents instilled in her and her older sister, ensuring the success of their children. She has worked at non-profits as a college advisor since graduating and loves working with youth and families. In her free time you can catch her playing softball, listening to audio books, spending time with her cat, and enjoying the outdoors!

Favorite College Experience: "I would say my favorite college experiences were the ones I made with my sorority. I was able to join a multicultural org and got to do a lot of community service and meet a lot of cool people!"

Advice for High School and College Students: "SLOW DOWN! This part of your life can be so crazy and complicated, but it's over before you know it. Try your best not to grow up so fast and enjoy every moment you can because soon you'll miss being in it."

Favorite Food: "I love seafood boils! Shrimp and crab legs, hold the egg."
