Rachel has always felt passionately about the power and importance of education. She's worked with prospective first-generation college students in a number of different capacities: from admissions counseling to tutoring through the various Denver based programs. She's also worked in the mental health space to make mental health resources more accessible to all populations regardless of condition, circumstance, skin color, or socioeconomic status.

She received her Bachelor's from Ohio State in Creative Writing and Spanish. In her free time you can find her cooking, traveling, doing yoga, drinking a tea, meditating, reading a good novel, and climbing mountains with her sweet rescue, Maple. Her life philosophy involves always learning and lots of ice cream!

Favorite College Experience: "No surprise here! My favorite college experience was studying abroad in Granada, Spain. Walking to class through the city, exploring the Alhambra, and eating all the tapas will forever be some of my favorite memories."

Advice for High School and College Students: "1. Focus on your strengths and what you enjoy doing, and cultivate your gifts from there. 2. Don't be the one to tell yourself no! Give everything a try and don't count yourself out of anything. 3. Never hesitate to ask for help if you don't know the answer."

Favorite Food: "If we're going savory: sushi. But I've got a serious sweet tooth and love cake, too."
